Manya Krobo Bank makes impressive gains

The Manya Krobo Rural Bank last year made significant gains in all aspects of its operations.

The biggest gain is its GH¢517,179 after-tax profit as against GH¢223,271 recorded in 2011, an increase by 131.64 per cent.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr Benjamin Tetteh Apo, made this known at the annual general meeting of shareholders at its headquarters at Odumase-Krobo at the weekend.

He told the gathering that within the same period, the bank’s total income increased from GH¢2,511,135 to GH¢3,420,371, a 36.21 per cent hike, while total assets also went up from GH¢12,990,390 to GH¢17,984,213, a rise by 38.44 per cent.

Deposits, he indicated, also rose by 30 per cent, that is, from GH¢10,563,403 to GH¢13,812,493, while investments improved from GH¢3,166,107 to GH¢6,892,215, all within the same period under review.
