Atwima Kwanwoma Rural Bank supports education
The Atwima Kwanwoma Rural Bank Limited at Pakyi No2 in the Amansie Central District of the Ashanti Region has made substantial commitment to support education in its operational territories.
In total, the bank has spent GH¢23,000 to support the construction of classroom blocks of two basic schools in the Amansie Central District.

The beneficiary schools include the Samanhyiakrom D/A Pre- School & Primary with an amount of GH¢16,000 for the construction of a classroom block, the Samanhyiakrom Junior High School had 20 bags of cement to support the completion of their classroom block and 200 bags of cement donated to the Pakyi No2 Presby Junior High School worth approximately GH¢7,000.
The Board Chairman of the bank, Mr Patrick Owusu, who presented the items on behalf of the bank, reiterated the very important reasons the bank why made such commitment to education in its operational territories.
This include the bank being a human centered financial institution and never went back on its compliance to its corporate social responsibility obligation.
The bank also had an added objective of contributing immensely to the development of human resource capacity in its catchment areas and believed the total development of any community begins with educational development.
The board chairman mentioned the numerous commitments the bank had made over the years in the education of the people, particularly at Pakyi No 2 ranging from infrastructure support to scholarship for the children of shareholders of the bank who are brilliant needy.
The CEO of the bank, Dr Stephen Sarfo Kantanka said it was with great delight and a matter of necessity for both management and board to attend to the call of the school against the background that education is essential to national development.
According to him, the bank believed that an investment in such projects would make an impact on communities and future generations and also achieve the rapid and holistic transformation of the community and the entire nation.
The Chief of Pakyi No2, Nana Kofi Agyei, who received the 200 bags of cement on behalf of the Pakyi No2 Presby Junior High School, was grateful to the bank for the numerous educational support it had given the Pakyi No2 town and its adjoining communities over the years.
The chief has ,therefore, advised the people within the banks operational territories particularly the people of Pakyi No2 to save and do business with bank to enable it make enough profit so it can sustain the support it gives to the community through it corporate social responsibility.
