They were selected from 120 entrepreneurs who had, over the past four years, received recognition for their contribution to the growth of Ghana’s economy at the annual Ghana Entrepreneurs Awards (GEA).

The Chief Executive Officer of the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana, Mr Sam Ato Gaisie, said the Hall of Fame concept would celebrate the success stories of Ghana’s most outstanding entrepreneurs.

“The GEA recognises enterprising entrepreneurs whose contribution to the development of Ghana has spanned several years. The recipients will then be inducted into the Ghana Entrepreneur Hall of Fame,” he explained.

Mr Gaisie explained that this year’s awards had been redesigned, taking into account the foundation’s fifth anniversary year.

He said the inductees would constitute a think tank that would focus on promoting the interest of the private sector and entrepreneurs in Ghana.

“The Ghana Entrepreneur Awards Hall of Fame Award will be an elite group of entrepreneurs who have been recognised and awarded by the Entrepreneurs Foundation for their exceptional entrepreneurial achievements and accomplishments in creating economic and social value,” Mr Gaisie said.

“So inducting them into the Hall of Fame will enable them share ideas and offer policy ideas to sustain the private sector,” he added.
