Atta Mills Memorial Tennis – Na-Adjrago out

Top seed of the ongoing Atta Mills Memorial Tennis tournament, Wisdom Na-Adjrago, yesterday crashed out of the competition after losing to a rusty Jeff Bagerbaseh, who defeated him 6-7(5), 6-4, 7-6 (6) at the Accra Sports  Stadium to book a quarter-final place.

Bagerbaseh will face Bernard Ashitey Armah in the quarter-finals.

 In other games, Benjamin Palm  won 6-4, 1-6, 7-5 against Emmanuel Plange to book a clash with Daniel Anum Quartey, who beat Charles Asomani 6-4, 6-1.

 Benjamin Fumi defeated Eugene Hammond 6-1, 7-6 to set up a quarter- final date with Isaac Titriku, who beat Ryan Kwame Asante 6-3, 6-1 while Fred Egyir, after winning 7-6(6), 3-6, 6-2 over Kwabena Ofosu Bamfo, will lock horns with Francis Akpese, who defeated Benjamin Ababio 6-4, 7-5.

The tournament is being organised by the John Evans Atta Mills Foundation (JEAMF) under the auspices of the Ghana Tennis Federation (GTF).

It is being sponsored by Interplast Ghana, Somotex, LG, KFC, Electro Mart, Masso Quarry, Stallion Tiger and Zen.
