Vipers honour supporter with posthumous award

Cape Coast Venomous Vipers have awarded dedicated supporter, late Mr Kwesi Tetteh, alias “Uncle Swedru”, a posthumous certificate of honour and citation for his commitment and meritorious service to the club.

The citation read, “A great supporter, dedicated servant of the club, a great trumpeter and cheer leader. Even when you were incapacitated and paralysed at the age of 85, you still made it to the club’s matches and preceded to the dressing room with the aid of your clutches to give the players pep-talks, the club is proud of you. Congratulations.” It was received by his son, Egya Andoh, on behalf of his father who passed on a few months ago.

He will be buried this weekend.

Presenting the certificate of honour to his son at the inauguration of the club’s Interim Management Committee (IMC) at the Oguaa Omanhen, Osabarima Kwesi Atta II’s palace, the chief patron called on all club faithful to be dedicated, disciplined, reliable and sacrifice for the club at
