Takoradi to host taekwondo general meeting tomorrow

This year’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Ghana Taekwondo Federation (GTF) will take place tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. at the SSNIT house in Takoradi.

The meeting, which is the second aside from last year’s, will attract representatives of registered regional taekwondo associations and clubs of the GTF  from across the country.

It is designed for members to converge to take stock of activities of the federation throughout the year and plan for the future.

According to the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the GTF, Adnan Lamptey, the gathering would also ensure the full compliance with the constitution of the federation.

“This year, the meeting is being held in Takoradi. This is  because at the first AGM of the federation last year, the membership decided to rotate it to other regions apart from the Greater Accra Region,” Mr Lamptey explained, adding  that the meeting would serve as a platform for the membership of the federation to take stock of its activities, as well as that of its member regional associations and the completion of its projects.

He stated that other tasks that were initiated at the last AGM would  also be on the agenda.

The PRO further noted that all the 10 regional associations, together with registered clubs within their jurisdictions, had confirmed their participation.
