Stars gear up for COSAFA Cup

The local Black Stars  have intensified their preparations ahead of this year’s COSAFA Cup to be hosted by South Africa.

The team, being handled by Coach Maxwell Konadu have for sometime now moved camp to Obuasi in a bid to put themselves in shape for the upcoming international assignment.

Also on the team’s table are the two-legged CHAN qualifiers against the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire.

Coach Konadu told the Graphic Sports that the team had improved significantly as they had so far hauled eight goals in two matches .

So far, he said , Obuasi fans had grown fond of the local stars who had inspired confidence ahead of their encounter against the Elephants. 

 They first defeated  Densu Broutia 3-0 and rounded a week of friendlies  with a 6-0 hammering of Division Two side,  Kwapia United. 

An elated Coach Maxwell Konadu, in a post-match interview stated: “We are on course, the boys are shaping up favourably and it’s a good sign of great things to come”. 

  Ben Fokuo the assistant, also stated , “This team will go places, because they are resilient and ready to learn new things”.
