Seven Great organises sports festival

Seven Great Princes Academy ended last year’s academic feat with a three-day sports festival which was climaxed last Friday at the Dansoman branch of the school in Accra.

After a stellar performance, the Dansoman JHS branch of the school came up tops winning the football, basketball, table tennis, scrabble and athletics competitions.

They were closely followed by the Lartebiokorshie JHS and Seven Great Senior High in Dansoman which came third.

Players and athletes who distinguished themselves received various honours notable among them being the most promising Player award, which went to Samuella Brown.

The Outstanding Female Player Award went to Rahina Abdul Razak while Mawuli Kabresi took the Most Outstanding Male Player Award.

A special prize, the Asamoah Gyan Award, which is in honour of former student and the Black Stars Skipper, went to Prince Asamoah.

Last year, the school topped the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) with the overall best grades  in the Greater Accra.

The SHS branch of the school was also adjudged the second overall best in the country in the WASSCE.
