The confident Togolese says he came to Ghana to win the competition and will leave no stone unturned in his bid to win the 2017 McDan Open Championsip because he will use the money to fund his career as a budding tennis prospect.

Setodji, 21, is the highest-ranked player in the competition and after thrashing Kwabena Ofosu Bamfo 6-1, 6-1 in his opening match, he is wary of becoming complacent especially because of his lack of knowledge of other players in the men's draw.

However, he is already taking steps to remedy this and spent yesterday at courtside watching the competition.

"I know any player can win the tournament but personally, I came here to win," said the France-based Togolese star in an interview with the Graphic Sports.

"Everyone feels a bit of pressure in sports and I am used to that, but the pressure I feel is not from being the top seed. I don't know who I am going to play against.

"I have to go to Nigeria after the tournament for another championship, so it will be good if I win because I will use the money to fund that trip as well as my tennis career".
