Satellites will prevail — Sellas Tetteh

Head coach of the Black Satellites, Sellas Tetteh, has assured Ghanaians of qualification for the Africa Youth Championship (AYC) despite the goalless draw with the Panthers of Gabon at the Accra Sports Stadium last Sunday.

The Black Satellites displayed a less convincing show in the first leg of the final qualification and would travel to Libreville a fortnight to determine who seals a place in the competition slated for Senegal next year.

The 2009 U-20 World Cup gold medalist told GNA Sports, though his opponents played a tactical game, his team would defeat the Panthers to go through in the next leg.

He said “in football, we can’t only count on our confidence, but correct our mistakes and perform better in the second leg. It was a good entertaining game but just that it lacked goals but it happens sometimes. We will re-organise our game plan in the second leg and I believe we will qualify.

He added: “I wasn’t surprised with the Gabonese strategy because they did the same thing in their last game against Rwanda and they had it right but it will not always work for them. We will change the format and see how it goes".

Ghana will face Gabon in the final round qualification of the AYC.
