Sapholda Hockey League - Trustees, GRA & Reformers Ladies on rampage
Trustees, Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) Ladies and Reformers Ladies were merciless last Saturday when they went on rampage, devouring their respective opponents with wide margins to improve their lots on the Sapholda Hockey League played at the Theodosia Okoh Hockey Stadium in Accra.

While Trustees whitewashed Reformers 8-1 in the men’s division to maintain their second position on the league table with 25 points, women’s league leaders, GRA maintained their position with an emphatic 8-0 victory over Ark Ladies. Reformers Ladies also proved too strong for Real Ambassadors Ladies as they defeated them 6-0 to improve their standing on the league table.
Trustees’ top scorer and skipper Johnny Botsio, obviously in a class of his own, scored on the ninth, 21 and 66th minutes for his side, while goals from Tettey Lartey (22) Samuel Afari (32) Barnor Leslie (50) Nicholas Nyarko (51) and Akpene Agbeli (58) crumpled Reformers.
However, Nartey Tettey scored a consolation goal for his side in the 39th minute.
After losing their first match against Police Ladies last week, GRA Ladies bounced back fiercely by pouncing on Ark Ladies with an emphatic 8-0 victory.
It was Deborah Whyte who opened the scoring in the 11th minute before Ernestina Coffie (13) Cynthia Clement 20,64) Mavis Berko (34) Vivian Narkuor (43) O. Adampa (59) and Lydia Afriyie (68) added their names to the score sheet
During the one-sided match between Reformers Ladies and Real Ambassadors, Benedicta Adjie (6,13) Hagar Laryea (29,54) Rosamond Quansah (49) and Assuming Addo (63) were the scorers for Reformers, and in the other Mens match, GRA defeated Police 3-1, with Legon defeating Ark Men 4-0.
In the Masters game, NDK Financiers easily dismissed Citizens International with a 6-0 win, with goals from Douglas McAteer (37), Peter Dodoo (48) Isaac Tawiah 60).Sowah Rudolf scored four goals on the fifth, ninth and the 50th minutes.
