Queens to cut Burkina Faso to size

Despite their 3-0 victory in the first leg of the African Women's Championship qualifiers against Burkina Faso in Ouagadougou, head coach Yusif Bisigi says he will not take any chances in their return leg tomorrow.

With three goals advantage, it appears Coach Bisigi is now a relieved man ahead of this return leg at the Accra Sports Stadium but as the Burkinabes seek a miracle to overturn the deficit, the Queens can only be guided by caution.

Aware of the threats the Burkinabes are likely to present, the Queens trainer has pledged to rule out complacency and tackle the game with their utmost best to record a cricket scoreline.

The Ghanaians until recently had failed to glitter when it matters and their most recent outings on the continental stage had ended in disaster, often coming out of the group stages.

And as they plan to rewrite the script in front of their home fans, the Queens are determined to offer the visitors a similar dose of what happened in Ouagadougou a fortnight ago and make it contain their appearance in the women's competition.

Barring any injuries, Coach Bisigi is expected to keep faith with his winning team, with two goal hero Faiza Ibrahim, and her teammates, Patricia Mantey, Safia Abdul-Raman, Samira Sulemana, Agnes Aduako, Jennifer Cudjoe and Mercy Myles, being among some of the possible names he will choose from.

However, the Burkina Faso side said they believed they could not be beaten twice and would come and ensure they record a respectable scoreline to protect their image.
