The Queens returned from Harare, Zimbabwe last Tuesday evening after drawing 2-2 with their hosts in the second leg of their qualifiers.

Having won 2-1 in the first leg in Accra, the Queens qualified for the AAG scheduled for Congo with a 4-3 aggregate.

Yussif Basigi,  head coach of the team on arrival told the Daily Graphic that, qualification meant more hardwork for the team as they sought to do well in Congo as well as qualify for the Olympic Games for the first time.

“With the All Africa Games qualifiers over, we now have to focus on the Olympic qualifiers which opens with a match against Egypt in May.

We have never qualified for the Olympics so it will be an important opportunity for us to try and qualify for the 2016 Games in Rio,” Coach Basigi told the Daily Graphic.
