The Princesses won the first leg played in Algiers two weeks by five goals to nil and are hoping to build upon that advantage to qualify for the second round of the qualifying campaign.

Goals from Grace Asantewaa, Helena Obeng, Sandra Owusu-Ansah and Olivia Anokye put the Ghanaians in a good stead for the second leg, but Coach Yusif Basigi inists it’s not a done deal yet.

“Yes, we have an advantage but it is not a done deal. That result is past and gone, what is important is the game ahead of us. Despite the good result we had in Algiers, the North Africans are quite a good side and we will take nothing for granted hosting them in the second leg.”

If the Princesses win and advance, they will play the winners of the Ethiopia versus Kenya encounter.

Kenya managed to secure a 2-2 result when they visited Ethiopia in the first leg.
