Prempeh, Korblah win Stanbic-Otumfuo Golf
Mary Prempeh of the Royal Golf Club in Kumasi produced a two-day stunning performance to win the topmost prize of the maiden edition of the Stanbic Bank- Otumfuo Invitational tournament in Kumasi, as Emos Korblah was unblemished in the professional category.

After an immaculate tee-off, Mary was consistent in her delivery over the 36-hole competition which attracted over 120 golfers in the handicap division and 26 professionals across the country.
Her win marked a perfect ‘host and win’ slogan as her compatriots, Constance Awuni and Juddy Gyimah Bota, were first and second runners-up respectively.
Mary won with a net score of 152 and was closely followed by Constance, (155 net), and Juddy, (157). Indeed, the story was no different in the male category where Isaac Simpson and Michael Osei Bio made it two out of three for the Royal Club.
Isaac won with a net score of 142, while James Akwaboah of the Nsuta Golf Club pushed Michael to the third position on count-back. The two golfers had scored 145 net before James managed to pull through ahead of Michael.
In the professional category, Korblah showed class by winning with ease to bring his silverware in Kumasi over the last two years to 10.
In an all Achimota Club affair, Korblah pushed Theophilus Govinous and Stephen Klah to the second and third positions respectively, after amassing 71 net score also over two days.
Govinous managed an impressive 73 net score, while Klah, who is fast establishing himself, placed third with a 75 net score. Last Sunday win by Korblah was a prelude to his preparation ahead of two important competitions next weekend — the Tema Open and an international one in Nigeria.
Veteran S.B. Appeadu won the seniors event, while budding talent, Hanniel Kakabra was the winner in the supporting category.
Other winners on the day were, longest drive (female), Elizabeth Captan from the Tafo Club, and Longest drive (male) IsaacSimpson. Felicity Okyei-Gyeabour of the Royal Golf Club won the female Nearest to the Pin, while Yaw Anarf won it in the male category.
