The Black Stars B Team, which is made up of players from the domestic league, will commence a one-week residential camping ahead of their two-leg qualifiers with Burkina Faso which will be played over a two-week period in August.

The break will also enable the Black Stars B team to prepare and participate in the WAFU tournament.

According to a statement by the Premier League Board (PLB), three outstanding matches, including the much-anticipated clash between Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko, will be cleared during the month-long break.

The Hearts-Kotoko match was originally fixed for the Baba Yara Stadium on July 16 but was postponed following a vehicular accident involving Kotoko on July 12.

A second medical review from Kotoko to the GFA/PLB yesterday indicated that Kotoko will be medically ready to play by August 6. Subsequently, the PLB fixed the top fixture for Sunday, August 6 in Kumasi.

Kotoko’s other outstanding match against WAFA will come off at Sogakope on August 23, while Ashgold host WAFA in another outstanding game at the Len Clay Stadium on August 30.

This weekend, the MTN FA Cup takes centre-stage with the Round of 16 fixtures.
