Kwame Boateng's brace within a minute in the second half secured victory for Olympics after Isaac Quansah had shot the visitors into the lead through a freekick which slipped through the fingers of sprawling goalkeeper Abraham Odonkor in post for Olympics.

Heart of Lions kept the pressure on Olympics and succeeded in forcing some saves from goalkeeper Odonkor before the deadlock was broken when a Quansah rebound, from an earlier freekick, beat Mozart Adjetey in post for Lions in the 32nd minute.

But Lions again jumped into the lead on the stroke of half time when Ousman Muntaka redirected a shot across the face of goal into the net.

Olympics introduced Emmanuel Amartey in the second half which changed the face of the game as they continued to pile pressure on the visitors, exploiting the weakness in the backline  to restore parity in the 58th minute and on to seal victory for his side a minute later.
