Okai Koi South Sports Competition held

Students and pupils of the Okai Koi South Sub-Metro of the Ghana Education Service (GES) have engaged in an inter-school sports competition.

The two-day contest, which was held jointly at the Kaneshie Kingsway School Park and the Kaneshie Awudome 3 Junior High School (JHS) Compound, involved boys and girls soccer, netball and volleyball.

Students and pupils from the primary to the junior high school (JHS) level took part in the various events.

In the netball contest for the primary schools, the Kaneshie Methodist ‘A’ took the first position while the Kaneshie Methodist ‘B’ came second, with the Kaneshie Kingsway ‘1’, taking the third place.

For the JHS netball contest, the Kaneshie Methodist ‘2’ emerged winners while the Kaneshie Methodist ‘3’ placed second and the Kaneshie ‘1’ JHS, followed in third position.

In the JHS Boys Volleyball, the first to the third positions were annexed by Kaneshie Kingsway ‘1’ Kaneshie Kingsway ‘2’ and Kaneshie Awudome ‘3’ in that order.

The JHS Girls Volleyball Category saw Kaneshie ‘1’ coming first, Kaneshie Kingsway ‘2’, second and Kaneshie Kingsway ‘3’, third.

In the Girls Soccer Contest at the JHS level, Kaneshie Awudome ‘3’, Kaneshie ‘3’ and Kaneshie ‘2’, took the first, second and third positions respectively.

For the JHS Boys Soccer, Kaneshie Awudome ‘3’ was first and the second position was taken by Kaneshie ‘1’ while the third position was taken by Kaneshie ‘3.’

The Under-12 soccer contest saw the Kaneshie Kingsway ‘1’, Kaneshie Methodist ‘A’ and Kaneshie ‘1’ taking first to third places.
