Odotei to be Deputy Sports Minister?

The chairman of the management committee of Accra Hearts of Oak, Vincent Sowah Odotei, could be heading to the Ministry of Youth and Sports as deputy minister of the sector.

A source close to the Phobian family yesterday whispered to the Graphic Sports that the Member of Parliament (MP) for La-Dadekotokopon Constituency, nicknamed Obama,  was among the deputy ministerial nominees that were taken through an orientation at the Flagstaff House in Accra last Monday.

The source was confident Mr Odotei’s destination would be the Sports Ministry and that an announcement later this week by President Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo-Addo would make it official .

Mr Odotei was appointed managing director of Hearts of Oak last July, 2016 to replace Gerald Ankrah, who resigned earlier in January, 2016.

He snatched the La-Dadekotopon seat from incumbent Nii Amasa Namoale in the last December General Elections.
