MTN Ghana commiserates with Kumasi Asante Kotoko

Officials of MTN Ghana have expressed sadness over the accident involving players and officials of Asante Kotoko who were returning to Kumasi after a football match at the El-Wak Stadium in Accra.

The headline sponsor of the Premier League side said they were even more saddened by the passing of the Assistant Equipment Officer of the club, Mr. Kofi Asare as a result of the accident.

“We offer our heartfelt condolence to the family of Mr. Kofi Asare, and we pray that his soul finds rest in the life beyond.”

A statement issued by MTN said a delegation from the company have met club officials and visited the accident victims at the Komfo Anokye Accident and Emergency unit.

“As headline sponsor of the Asante Kotoko Football Club, MTN stands with the team during this challenging period and pledge our support to management, the playing body, technical team and supporters of the Porcupine Warriors across the world.

“We wish the team speedy recovery; it is our prayer that their spirit of enduring determination gives them renewed strength to overcome this tragedy and rise again.“
