Minister visits Ghanaman Centre

The Minister of Youth and Sports, Mahama Ayariga, yesterday morning paid a working visit to the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence at Prampram to acquaint himself with the facilities on the ground.

The centre, was established in 2006 by the Ghana Football Association under a FIFA grant to groom the nation's soccer talents.

According to officials at the centre, Mr Ayariga was the first Sports Minister to visit the centre to offer assistance and share his vision with the young players who are receiving both academic and sports education.

The minister also seized the occasion to interact with the Black Starlets, the national under-17 team whop are currently preparing at the centre towards the final qualifier of the 2015 Africa U-17 Championship in Niger.
The minister assured the Starlets that the nation was solidly behind them hence the need to work harder.
