Medeama's Kwasi Donsu close to Al Wahda deal
Medeama Sporting Club are close to striking a lucrative deal for their prized midfielder, Kwasi Donsu, following mouthwatering offers from three foreign-based clubs.

Top on the list of foreign clubs who are desperately seeking the services of the gifted player, who finished as the second joint top scorer in the Ghana Premier League with 15 goals, is top Saudi Arabian side, Al Wahda FC, who are reported to have made an irresistible offer to beat off competition from the other clubs.
The Chief Executive officer of Medeama, James Essilfie, who disclosed this to the Graphic Sports yesterday, said the club was in the process of securing visas to enable officials to travel to Saudi Arabia to engage Al Wahda officials in negotiations for the player’s release.
He hinted that all things being equal, the Al Wahda deal could fetch Medeama not less than $250,000.
The Abu Dhabi-based club finished third in the 2015/2016 season, but are currently ninth in the two-week old United Arab Emirates Arabian Gulf League and need the quality of the dead ball expert to turn things around for them.
If the Al Wahda transfer goes through, Donsu will be joining Black Stars skipper Asamoah Gyan in the same league which has Gyan’s club, Al Ahli, leading with maximum points from two games.
However, Mr Essilfie stated that the Tarkwa-based club was still weighing the options, since English Premiership side, Middlesbrough, and Pacos Ferreira of Portugal had also put in bids for Donsu.
In the case of Middlesbrough, Essilfie said they had even extended an invitation to the player to underline their commitment to sign him on.
Aside from the foreign demand, he also revealed that local giants Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko had also written officially to express interest in the talented player who is knocking hard on the doors of the Black Stars.
