Lifestyle Gallery supports disabled sports

Lifestyle Gallery, a Furnishing Company in Accra, last Thursday donated furniture worth GH¢5,000 to the Richoff Disability Sports and Educational Foundation.

The donation was to help furnish the African Centre for Disability of Excellency Complex being constructed by the Richoff Disability Sports and Educational Foundation in Dominase Komenda in the Central Region.

Already, the Chief of Dominase Komenda, Nana Ekaw Beis II, has donated a 40-acre land to the Foundation for the project which comprises sports facilities, a vocational school, an orphanage, a clinic and a police post. 

Addressing the media at the presentation ceremony, the technical support manager for Lifestyle Gallery, Jerry Stewards, said the donation was in fulfilment of its corporate social responsibility in aid of national development.

 “Many disabled individuals in the country have been marginalised, and we thought this is what we can do to lift them from their predicament,” he explained.

The president of the amputee club, Mr Richard Offei, who received the items on behalf of the Foundation, thanked Lifestyle Gallery for its immense support and promised to utilise the items to improve the lives of the disabled.
