Liberty Group holds games

The Management and staff of Liberty Group last Saturday held its annual games at the Burma Camp Sports Complex in Accra.

The event brought together staff from the Greater Accra and Central regions to participate in activities such as soccer, sack race, ludo, Oware, lime and spoon race, tug of peace, aerobics, among others.

It was intended to engage the participants in body exercise and promote a healthy lifestyle among the rank and file of the entire workforce.

Liberty DMI emerged winners with 22 points, followed by Midland with 14 points, while Liberty Capital had six points.

In the women’s category, Midland came first with four points, and DMI came second with two points.

Liberty Group is the parent company of Liberty Capital, Liberty Commodities, Liberty Mutual Health, Liberty DMI and Midland Savings and Loans and provides tailor-made financial services to customers in the informal sector.

Briefing the media shortly after the games, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Liberty Group, Mr William Adjovu, stated that the event has become a tradition on the calendar of the company and fosters unity among the staff members.

He added that it also created a platform for staff to fraternise through games and reflect on the way forward of the company.

For his part, the Public Relations and Marketing Manager of Midland Savings and Loans, Mr George Paakow Hagan, said the company had chalked up 20 years of operations, and that adding quality service has been its hallmark.
