The request, according to the club’s spokesperson, Kweku Ahinkorah, is due to the club’s inability to raise a full team as most of their key players  were not available.

Mr Ahinkorah told the Daily Graphic that the club had as many as six of their  key players on national assignments while players such as Ahmed Toure and Henry Ohene Brenya were nursing various degrees of injuries.

He also mentioned players such as Ahmed Adams, Michael Akuffo, Emmanuel Asante and Abeiku Ainooson who were with the local Black Stars

Aside these were others such as goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi and Dauda Mohammed who are in the camp with the national Olympic team, Black Meteors.
