Kotoko host Nea Salamina tomorrow

Kumasi Asante Kotoko will play host to Division One League side, NEA Salamina, in their outstanding MTN FA Cup quarter-final match at the Baba Yara Stadium tomorrow at 3 p.m.

The match was postponed as a result of Kotoko’s recent motor accident which rendered most of their players unfit to play the game a couple of weeks ago.

Kotoko are keen on returning to winning ways, having managed a 1-1 drawn game with Accra Hearts of Oak in their outstanding Premier League encounter following their return to the pitch from an accident that took the life of their equipment manager, Kofi Asare.

Former champions, Hearts of Oak and Medeama SC, as well as Wa All Stars have already qualified to the semi-finals after beating Danbort, Amidaus Professionals and Berekum Chelsea respectively.

In a related development, the final draw of the MTN Cup will take place at the M Plaza Hotel in Accra next Tuesday, August 22 at 11a.m.

The event will see the FA Cup Committee (FACC) announcing the semi-finals and final venues for the competition.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the FACC, Mr Kurt E.S. Okraku, has urged the participating clubs to abide by the regulations and use the prescribed embossments for the competition or face sanctions.
