Inter Allies chase Preko to reunite with Kenichi?

Former Accra Hearts of Oak assistant coach, Yaw Preko, is on the verge of sealing a deal with International Allies FC after the Tema-based club requested him to assist them to stage a successful campaign in the Ghana Premier League next season.

According to the Technical Director of the club, Mr Willie Klutse, Preko is currently assisting his friend and former boss at Hearts of Oak Kenichi Yatsuhashi, at Inter Allies' training.

Mr Klutse told the Graphic Sports yesterday that management was confident Preko and Kenichi would make a perfect combination in their effort to turn around the fortunes of the club.

"We invited him when he returned from Nigeria and we are still negotiating with him, hoping that he will respond positively to our requests.

"We will love to have him as our assistant coach to support Kenichi because they have worked together before and they make a good team. Kenichi also suggested that he would appreciate it if we bring Preko on board but he is yet to accept our offer," said Mr Klutse.

Meanwhile, the management of Inter Allies plans to adopt the Accra Sports Stadium as their home grounds for the 2017/2018 Premier League season.

The team used the Tema Stadium last two seasons and moved to the El-Wak Stadium last season, but are considering using the Accra stadium in the upcoming season.

"That is our intention but we are yet to write to the NSA for approval. We decided to use that place because it is bigger than the El-Wak Stadium,” revealed Mr Klutse.

The club will begin pre-season training towards the league season at the Ajax Park of the University of Ghana on December 27.
