Harrison Afful named in MLS Team of the Week

Rampaging fullback Harrison Afful was the only Ghanaian named in the Major League Soccer (MLS) Team of the Week for the fourth round of matches of the season.

The Black Stars defender was among three Columbus Crew players named in the team after a 3-2 home win over the Portland Timbers.

His Crew teammates Federico Higuain and Arthur were also named.

Right back Harrison Afful took on a new role, working centrally rather than his normal wide position. 

He was not only a factor defensively on the right side, but helped to breakup counter attacks in the midfield and played a vital part in getting Higuain the ball on Kamara’s goal and finding the forward on a cross that led to Niko Hansen’s late winner.

His efforts see him on the Team of the Week for the first time in 2017.
