The Nsawam-based Zark was presented with a wheelchair by the club to help with his movement and training.

This was disclosed to the Daily Graphic by the founder of the club, Botsyo Nkegbe, who said that the club’s motive was to ensure the boy's talent did not go waste..

He explained that the boy, who was at the orthopeadic centre at Nsawam, was a double amputee but needed to be drafted at this early stage so he could grow to be a formidable force in the sport.

Nkegbe said it was his dream to ensure that more young athletes would get the opportunity to be trained so they could take over from them when they faded out of the scene.

He said the club would work hard to recruit as many people as possible and train them to become the future of the sport to make the nation proud by winning laurels.

He expressed gratitude to Kiwanis Club of USA for helping to make this initiative successful and appealed to other well-meaning organisations to come to their aid to ensure more disabled people were trained for the future.

The boy thanked the club for the gesture and said he was ready to work hard to put the country's name on the map in future.
