GN Bank Division One League ; XI Wise trash Windy Professionals

The GN Bank Division One League kicked off  at the weekend across the country with former premiership campaigners Eleven Wise thrashing Windy Professionals 4-1 in an exciting Zone Two clash.

 

In accordance with the new structure of the league, the 48 partcipants engaged one another in three, 16-club league zones which will see the eventual winners qualifying into the Premier League.

In Zone One, Guan United lost 0-1 to Real Tamale United, Bolga Man City pipped Atebubu Esperance 1-0, Galaxy were beaten 0-2 by Arsenals, Techiman City drew 0-0 with Unity FC, WA African United played-out a 0-0 draw with Berlin FC, Tamale Utrecht defeated Bolga All-Stars 1-0, while the clashes involving Amanjande FC versus Tamale All Stars and Japekrom Mpuasoman and Tano Bofoakwa both ended in scoreless draws.

 In Zone Two, Gold Stars were held to a 2-2 draw by Elmina Sharks, Dunkwa United defeated KFC Samosa 2-0, Tarkwa United succumbed 1-3 to Asokwa Deportivo, Proud United played-out a 0-0 draw with Metro SC, Samartex versus Starke FC ended in a 1-1 draw, Wassaman United beat Cornerstone 2-1, while the game between King Faisal and Ebusua Dwarfs was postponed.

Elsewhere in Zone Three, Hot Steel lost 0-1 to Nania FC, Istanbul FC beat Mighty Jets 3-1, D’International pipped Sporting Mirren 1-0, King Solomon drew 0-0 with Danbort FC, Tema Youth defeated Amidaus Professionals 1-0, Dreams FC were 2-0 victors over Okwawu United, Pure Joy thumped Kotoku Royals 3-0 and Prestige FC were held to a 1-1 draw by Real Athletico.
