GHALCA G6 final - Hearts seek revenge over Aduana Stars
Two clubs with great tradition, Accra Hearts of Oak and Aduana Stars, are expected to climax the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) G6 competition when they clash in the final at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.

Juxtaposing the two sides, Aduana Stars have maintained their impressive form after last season and look a more formidable side, while the Phobians appear out of form despite making significant recruitments ahead of the coming season.
But as Hearts struggle to gel after each game in this competition, they are expected to guard their strong record against the Dormaa-Ahenkro side when they battle for the ultimate GH¢50,000 prize money and trophy.
Hearts of Oak’s poor performance at the start of the competition made them the underdogs until they managed to edge out favourites and defending champions, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, on a 6-5 penalty shootout.
That outcome has helped raise their confidence of grabbing the ultimate although they are yet to score from open play in this competition which sums up their ineffectiveness upfront.
Hearts’ stop-gap coach, Henry Lamptey Wellington, would need to work extra hard to sharpen the skills of his attacking machinery if he wants to go into the history books as the second coach to have grabbed this trophy since its inception.
Unfortunately, he would be coming against a team that possesses one of the best defensive records during last season’s league and Coach Wellington’s charges including Vincent Atinga, Patrick Razak and Mustapha Essuman, must push harder to win this competition.
This would be against the fact that Hearts of Oak would be seeking to avenge the 2-0 defeat they suffered during the group stages of the competition.
However, Coach Yusif Abubakar, who guided Aduana to finish the league season in a second position would want to win his first laurel for the club and would be looking forward to inflict similar bruises on Hearts to win the trophy.
