GFA to reward sponsors, others

 

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is set to open the New Year with a special dinner to reward its sponsors and some distinguished personalities at the Alisa Hotel on Friday.

Seven individuals who have served in various capacities on the judicial committees of the GFA will receive awards for their contributions to the success of the governing body in recent years.

The individuals are Supreme Court justices Sule Gbadegbe and Anin Yeboah, Justice Isaac Aboagye, Justice Amadou Tanko, Mr Nutifafa Kuenyehia, Mr Kenneth Johnfia and Mr J.K.C. Edzie.

Several sponsors contributed immensely in diverse ways to the development of football in the country in 2013, inspiring the decision to reward them.

The headline sponsor of the Black Stars, GNPC, who signed a $3m a year deal to support the senior national team last year, are amongst the corporate group.

Also, beverage sponsors of the Black Stars, Guinness Ghana Brewery Limited, who have remained committed to the team for nearly two decades, will also be awarded.

Other Black Stars sponsors to receive awards are food sponsors - CCTC (importers of Ricemaster), dream sponsors - Latex Foam Ghana Limited, and official banking partner - Unibank Ghana,

Title sponsors of the FA Cup, MTN, will also be presented with an award for its financial support for the knockout competition, as well as Premier League partners, Voltic Ghana Limited and SuperSport.
