Former Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah named best coach in Sudan

 

Former Black Stars coach James Kwesi Appiah has been crowned as the Coach of the Year in Sudan.

Appiah who currently coaches Al Khartoum coach was handed the accolade after he guided his side to a fifth place finish on the league log in the just ended Sudanese top-flight league.

He pipped other contenders including Fawzy Al Mardy who is head coach at title winners Al Hilal Omdurman to the gong.

Appiah, 56 ,took charge of Al Khartoum in December 2014 after his appointment with the Black Stars came to an end after the FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
