Free agent Frimpong joined the Cypriot side from Swedish top-flight club AFC Eskilstuna after truncating his two-year contract signed earlier in February 2017.

The 25-year-old journeyman also mutually terminated his previous contract with Russian outfit Arsenal Tula where he spent a season before joining newly-promoted Eskilstuna.

Frimpong was tipped to have brilliant career when he started out at Arsenal where he won a FA Youth Cup and two Premier Academy League titles.

He featured heavily in Arsenal's pre-season in Austria and received praise from senior manager Arsène Wenger for his performances at the 2010 Emirates Cup.

However, on August 19, 2010, Frimpong injured an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in training and was out injured for nine months.

He was unable to recover from that set-back to challenge for a first team role, spending unremarkable spells on loan at Wolverhampton Wanderers, Charlton Athletic and Fulham before his departure from Arsenal.

Frimpong joined Barnsley for an undisclosed fee on January 31, 2014 after leaving Arsenal.

He went straight into the squad for the Yorkshire derby against Sheffield Wednesday, but was sent off after 31 minutes.

Following Barnsley's relegation from the Championship, Frimpong was released after only four months at the club and headed to FK Ufa in Russia where he made 25 appearances in two seasons.

Frimpong born in Kumasi but raised in London made his Ghana international debut on March 24, 2013 during a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Sudan.
