FIFA congratulates GPL champions, Wa All Stars

World football governing body, the federation of International Football Association (FIFA), has commended this year’s Ghana Premier League (GPL) champions, Wa All Stars on their performance and said winning the league was a “Wonderful occasion and an opportunity to draw satisfaction from a job well done”.

In a congratulatory message signed by the President of FIFA, Gianni Infantino, a copy of which was sighted by the Daily Graphic, FIFA described the feat chalked by All Stars as a “True team victory from which all stakeholders including players, coaches, technical, medical staff and  fans must cherish”.

“The dynamism and commitment of the Wa All Stars team have enabled them to win this title, football is proving more than ever that it transcends traditional boundaries to become a real driver of development” the statement noted, pointing out that “ it enables players at all levels to develop their individual skills, tactical understanding and personal dynamism while strengthening team spirit”.

The statement further described football as a school for life and said everyone particularly young people of today can benefit from playing the game both on social and personal levels.

The statement, therefore, urged the Wa All Stars football club to continue to work hard which will lead them to the path of more success.
