Federation heads must be transparent - GOC President

The President of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC), Ben Nunoo-Mensah, has called on the various federation heads to be transparent in their dealings with stakeholders to help attract corporate sponsorship.

Mr Nunoo-Mensah explained that transparency is the only means of creating a reputable brand out of the various federations that are least financed by government.

There have been complaints about some federation heads not being transparent in their financial dealings with their executives and members.

In an interview with the Graphic Sports, Mr Nunoo-Mensah, urged members of the various federations to hold their heads accountable to make them transparent.

"It will be appropriate for every federation head to be transparent and accountable to their members so as to create a brand that will attract corporate entities," he said.

"I entreat every sporting discipline president to engage its members in all they do in order to bridge togetherness and harmony among each other," Mr Nunoo-Mensah added.

Talking about his new GOC administration, Mr Nunoo-Mensah pledged to be transparent to everyone during his four-year reign.
