Dogboe is poised to make history — Azumah
Ghana's boxing legend, Azumah Nelson, has described undefeated Isaac Dogboe as a boxer who is determined to make history by becoming a world champion, and believes his hard work would pay off tomorrow night.

Azumah was hopeful that the Ghanaian would defy all odds to beat Mexico's Cesar Juarez in tomorrow's WBO Interim Super Bantamweight
title showdown at the Bukom Boxing Arena.

The former three-time world champion in the featherweight and super featherweight divisions, told the Graphic Sports when he visited Dogboe at training last Tuesday that it was time for Dogboe to make history
for himself.
"I know Isaac very well and he is very hardworking. He is determined to make history for himself and I know it would surely pay off on Saturday night.
"He is going to do it for us by defying all odds to stop the Mexican but I want the entire nation to come and witness his victory over Juarez on Saturday.
It is done already and all I can do is to motivate and advise him with my presence here," Azumah said.
Ghana boxing will take a new leap for the first time in 20 years since a world title fight was staged in Ghana when undefeated Dogboe returns to the ring to fight Juarez for a slot to challenge Jessie Magdaleno for his world title early this year.

When asked about the threat posed by Mexican fighters after Juarez had described the tie as a walkover, Azumah explained that with the right training every boxer was capable of reaching greater heights in their careers.
He described the Mexican's description of Dogboe as “a weaker opponent” as mere words which must be disregarded because a boxer's toughness
could only be seen in the ring during a fight.
"Every boxer with the right training can get to the top and it’s not about being a Mexican and, Dogboe has the right attitude to deal with
Juarez. He can only brag but the fight will decide who is superior," he added.
