Both clubs are tied on 42 points and their head-to-head record also revealed a 2-0 win each in their two-leg encounters this season.

The Premier League Board (PLB) confirmed the play-off on their official Twitter handle for the Ghana Premier League and both clubs now have an opportunity to finish ahead of the other.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) statutes state that when clubs are tied on points and head-to-head record, a playoff would be required to break the tie.

The two clubs exhibited some good performances this season, with Bechem United going ahead to win the MTN FA Cup, after shrugging off competitions from giants Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak.

The match will be an off-season thriller which will also put the two teams in shape for next season.
