Arnol wins MTN FA Cup golden boot

Bechem United midfielder, Yaw Arnol will be looking forward to being crowned top scorer at this year’s MTN FA Cup Awards after finishing the competition with four goals.

Arnol, was instrumental in Bechem United’s MTN FA Cup triumph after scoring a brace in the final against Okwawu United to earn his side their first major title.

Five other players namely: Jacob Sarfo Anim of Okwawu United, Bechem United duo of Hamza Mohammed and Abednego Tetteh, Liberty Professionals’ Latif Blessing and Emmanuel FC’s Isaac Darko followed in second place with three goals each.

Besides that, 11 players from nine different clubs scored two goals each.

For the club honours, winners Bechem United emerged as the top scoring club with 14 goals, setting the stage for what looks like another sweep of the awards for the title holders as has been the norm.

Runners-up Okwawu follow in second place with 12 goals, while Emmanuel FC had 10 goals to their credit.

Liberty Professionals and Elmina Sharks banged in seven goals apiece, Wa All Stars and Wa Rockets had six goals each, while Asante Kotoko and WAFA scored four goals each.
