Ampem Darkoa ditch Fabulous Ladies

Ampem Darkoa Ladies Sunday beat Fabulous Ladies 2-1 in their crunch Round of 32 tie of the Sanford Women’s FA Cup competition.

A brace from newly crowned SWAG Female Footballer of the Year, Princella Adubea, helped the National Women’s League (NWL) champions avenge the loss they suffered at the hands of last year’s finalists to progress to the next round of the competition.

Adubea opened score for the Techiman-based team but that lead was cancelled by Agnes Aduako just on resumption of the second half, but Adubea struck again to claim that important win from Fabulous who were cheered on by their teeming fans at their Wesley College Park home grounds.

There were no significant shocks in this round as the NWL clubs all sailed through, though there were some stunning results.
