Aduana host Wa All Stars on GPL Match Day 9

Given the manner in which defending champions  Wa All Stars snatched the league title from Aduana last season, their clash at the Nana Agyeman Badu Park at Dormaa on Sunday, no doubt tops the bill for this weekend’s Ghana Premier League (GPL) as action resumes at all the centres for Match Day Nine fixtures.

The contest for this season is getting hotter and the contrasting forms Aduana and Wa All Stars are so far enjoying could bring an interesting twist to their clash, which will have an increased security alert to deal with any undercurrent of what transpired at Wa last season, where the Chief Executive Officer of Aduana, Albert Yahaya Commey, alleged he was reportedly manhandled by some fans of Wa All Stars.

While Aduana have remained unbeaten, Wa All Stars tasted their worst defeat in the premiership with their 1-4 home thrashing by WAFA in their outstanding home game at Wa last Sunday, a result that has been received with shock by their fans.

Aside from the Dormaa encounter, there are other interesting and dicey match-ups with clubs keen to maintain their good performance and those who are yet to find their rhythm, hoping to recover.

Kotoko host Inter Allies in Kumasi, Tema Youth also host Medeama at Tema,  Accra Hearts of Oak will be the guests of Berekum Chelsea at Berekum, while Great Olympics welcome Ebusua Dwarfs in Accra.

Bechem United are hosts to WAFA at Bechem,  Ashantigold will are hosts to Bolga All Stars at Obuasi,  and Liberty Professional travel to visit Elmina Sharks at Elmina.
