Adam Kwarasey wins Norwegian League title after playing only 7 games

Ghana goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey has won the Norwegian League title barely over two months after joining his club Rosenborg.

Rosenborg clinched the title without Kwarasey’s help as the Ghanaian goalkeeper was an unused substitute for their 3-1 win over Molde on Saturday.

A second-half brace from captain Mike Jensen and a goal from Christian Gytknaer helped Rosenborg secure their third Norwegian title in a row with a superb 3-1 win away to their arch-rivals.

The 28-year-old adds the Norwegian league title to his silverware collection which also includes the MLS Cup which he won with Portland Timbers.

He has made only seven appearances for Rosenborg since joining them in July from the Timbers.

The win for the Trondheim club, who have five matches left to play, puts them on 62 points after 25 games, a whopping 21 points ahead of second-placed Brann Bergen, who have a game in hand.

Rosenborg also have the chance of completing a domestic double when they face Bodo/Glimt in the semi-finals of the Norwegian Cup on October 26.
