Abednego back to relaunch career …After terminating Al Hilal deal

Former Bechem United hitman, Abednego Tetteh, has returned home to relaunch his career after his contract with Sudanese side, Al Hilal, was terminated last month.

The 26-year-old former Okwawu United forward told the Graphic Sports in an interview yesterday that his agent was working out a new deal for him locally or abroad.

Tetteh, who helped the Bechem side to win the MTN FA Cup last season, terminated his contract with the North African side six months into his two-year contract, said he did so because he was “unhappy with some issues” in the club.

However, reports suggest that the attacker failure to find target in the club’s five CAF Champions League games resulted in the termination of the contract, despite scoring 10 goals in the league.

However, the player denied the rummours, insisting that he abrogated the contract on mutual grounds and was hopeful of staging a comeback soon to fight for a place in the national team.

Tetteh was delighted about his short stint with the Sudanese club, saying the difference between their league and that of Ghana is facilities and remuneration.

“They are financially ahead of us but in Ghana we have the talent and flair”, he explained in response to a question about the difference between the two leagues.

According to him, while the Sudanese league can boost of state-of-the-art facilities, including good motivation of players, the opposite is what existed back home.
