NASCO Electronics offers 4-year package for League

Electroland Ghana Limited, producers of NASCO Electronics, has signed a four-year deal with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to sponsor Man-of-the-Match, Player of the Month and Coach of the Month awards in the Ghana Premier League.

The awards will be known as NASCO Player of the Month and Coach of the Month, with the GFA set to announce the winners who will receive mobile phones as prizes.

According to the National Sales Manager of  Electroland Ghana, Vincent Azan-Gbiok, the partnership will commence on week 14 until the end of the league, with an estimated GHC 253,000 worth ofNASCO products to be given to winners.

Mr Azan-Gbiok explained that his outfit was committed to help develop the league and motivate players to give of their best in matches.

The chairmain of the Premier League Board (PLB), Ashford Tettey Oku, said the timely intervention of NASCO will go a long way to help the Premier League, especially where the competition has been without a title sponsor for over two years now.

He said a team has been put in place to help in identifying deserving players for the Player of the Month and Coach of the Month awards at the end of every month.

George Afriyie, the vice-president of the GFA, commended NASCO for the kind gesture which, he said, will help reward the best players in the league.

 

Mr Afriyie emphasised on the need for the Man-of-the Match, Player of the Month and Coach of the Month in modern football since it brings out the best in the players on the field of play.
