Ampedu finished off an impressive combination with Bernard Arthur, who assisted with a through ball to hand his side what would be the winner to compound Olympics’ relegation woes.
It was a game of two halves, Liberty dominating in the first half and Olympics coming up stronger in the second, but it was the visitors who had what mattered most, the goal and crucial three points in the battle to beat the relegation net.
Liberty began probing for the goal right from the start, but a long shot by Simon Zibu on the 26th minute was denied by the woodwork after a cross by Bernard Arthur was headed out by the Olympics defence.
The visitors continued their search for the opener with Arthur and Ampedu troubling the Olympics defence and had their reward on the 40th minute.
Olympics came back stronger in the second half as they fought for the equaiser but a determined Liberty defence wouldn't allow them.
It was all Olympics in the second half as they continued pressing for the equaliser but the best chance of the game came in the 68th minute when Kaplaka Goutouhon missed a free header that could have changed the game in favour of the hosts with 22 minutes to the end.
