Kumasi Asante Kotoko defensive midfielder, Kojo Poku says his team is well prepared for any threat to be posed by Liberty Professionals’ playmaker, Latif Blessing, when both teams clash on Saturday at the Carl Reindorf Park at Dansoman.
Latif Blessing is currently the leading top scorer in this season’s Premier League with 13 goals and playing at his favourite home ground, the 20-year-old is a potential threat to Kotoko’s ambitions but a determined Poku yesterday brushed aside any cause for panic in that Premier League fixture.
“Playing at Dansoman would be a difficult game for us but we are confident about our chances because I think the pressure has gone down on our team. All I know is about a game against Liberty Professionals and that’s our target not Latif Blessing.
“They play as a team and even though he is their playmaker we cannot focus on him alone and leave the rest. He is a good player no doubt but we also have such great talents in our team so that makes it equal,” he added.
