Hearts maintain lead as Bechem hold Ashgold

Accra Hearts of Oak last Wednesday fought hard to beat Berekum Chelsea 1-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Kwame Kizito’s goal was all the Phobians needed to call the bluff of a stubborn Chelsea side who had tormented the host, including making hero of Hearts’ goalkeeper, Abdoulaye Soulama, who stood between them and a goal.

Skipper and playmaker of Berekum Chelsea, Saddick Adams, was a handful for the Hearts defence who struggled to contain him. 

At the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, Ashgold were held to a 1-1 draw by Bechem United in another thrilling encounter.
