Ampem Darkoa to face Ashtown when NWL kicks off

Defending National Women’s League (NWL) champions,   Ampem Darkoa, Ladies will open their title defence with a crunch away match against Ashtown Ladies, while former champions  Hasaacas Ladies, also have an opening day date with Samaria Ladies.

The schedule  for the NWL, which kicks off on April 29-30 was released last Friday by the Women’s League Board (WLB) and has some interesting fixtures on the opening day as clubs begin their quest to wrestle the title from the holders in a season that significantly celebrates Season Five of the NWL.

On the opening day fixtures, Prisons Ladies will host Fabulous Ladies, Lepo Ladies will also play debutant’s, Kumasi Academy Ladies; while Real Upper Ladies also face Northern Ladies at home all in the northern zone.

The southern zone will see Police Ladies hosting LadyStrikers, Soccer Intellectuals playing at home, to Immigration, with Elmina-based Sea Lions hosting newcomers, Holy Royals.

 

The launch of the NWL will be held on April 19 but the season will be preceded by the Super Cup between Sanford Women’s FA Cup winners, Police Ladies, and league champions, Ampem Darkoa, in Kumasi on April 22.
