Amos Frimpong named Kotoko Player of the Month

Kumasi Asante Kotoko captain, Amos Frimpong was on Sunday adjudged as the Player of the Month for June. Amos was in contention for the award with fellow teammates – defender Evans Quao and goalie Ernest Sowah.

At the end of polling on the Kotoko Portal, the versatile skipper garnered 63 per cent of the total valid votes cast while goalkeeper Ernest Sowah earned 28 per cent with centre back, Evans Qauo having 8 per cent.

For his prize, Amos Frimpong was given a beautiful plaque and a cash prize of GHȼ1,000 from Forms Capital – the reputable financial institution that sponsors the award programme.

The Operations Manager of Kotoko, George Kennedy received the award on behalf of Amos Frimpong since the presentation was done at the time the team was in the changing room at half time in the Kotoko-Hearts of Oak match at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
