Ailing Hearts masseur gets help

TalkHeartsofOakSC, a vibrant digital support base of Accra Hearts of Oak, last Saturday presented GH¢1,500, assorted drinks worth GH¢500 and a citation to Mr Aliu Adjetey, aka Ozi Ozaa, for being the most successful and longest-serving physiotherapist of the club.

The presentation, which was done at the Nmaanmonaa Central Mosque, near the Ghana Post Office in Accra, brought together family and friends of the recipient, who has been suffering from mild stroke for the past two years.

Presenting the items, Mr J. J. Kojo Effangon (Shamo), administrative manager of the group, noted that his outfit decided to honour Mr Adjetey for his dedication, valour and service to the club for the past two decades.

He said: “We noticed that Ozi Ozaa has been absent from the bench for some time now and upon investigations, we discovered that he was sick. So, we at TalkHeartsofOakSC decided to present these items and money to support him to recover quickly to enable him to return to his job. We do not want him to die before we come to honour him”.

For his part, Mr Elvis Herman Hesse, chairman of the welfare committee, said the group intended to support the management of the club by honouring personalities who had made diverse contributions in the past to make Hearts great.

“This is our widow’s mite to support you and to encourage others to work hard for Hearts. We salute you and we want you to know that we value your priceless contributions towards the club,” he said.

Mr Adjetey, who has been the physiotherapist and masseur of Hearts since 1999, advised the technical team, the playing body and other employees of the club to work hard and give their best so that they would be recognised in the future.
